Section A

Note: This section contains five questions. Attempt any two questions. Each question carries 10 marks 

1. How many Fundamental Rights are available there under Indian Constitution? Write down very briefly.
2. Write down the distinction between 'Equality before law' and 'Equal protection of law'.
3. What do you mean by the term Secularism?
4. What restrictions have been placed upon individual religious freedom?
5. What do you mean by the doctrine of 'Double Jeopardy'?

Section B

Note: This section contains three questions. Attempt any one question. Each question carries 20 marks

6. Article 14 of the Indian Constitution permits reasonable classification but forbids class legislation. Discuss. Refer decided cases.

7. Explain the provisions of the 'Rights against exploitation' as guaranteed under Indian Constitution. Refer to decided cases.
8. With the help of decided cases Explain the restrictions prescribed under Article 19(2) of the Indian Constitution upon freedom of speech and expression.

Note: This section contains five questions. Attempt any two questions. Each question carries 30 marks 

9. Right to life does not mean mere animal existence but right to live with human dignity.  In the light of this statement explain Right to life as guaranteed under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution. Refer decided cases.
10. Explain the relation between Directive Principles to State Policy and Fundamental Rights. Refer to decided cases.
11. Does the Indian Constitution provides for the establishment of a secular state? What has been the attitude of courts in this regards? Discuss.
12. Indian Constitution shifted from competitive to cooperative federalism. Do you agree? Discuss.
13. Write an essay on Public Interest Litigation.
